First install the rails version you need for your project
# install specific rails version. 1.2.6 in this case
gem install rails -v=1.2.6
this will generate a Rails 1.2.6 project
rails _1.2.6_ project
Just replace the version number with the one you need.

After updating RubyGems I got the following error message:

Nice. So I took a look at the output that was generated and came across this:

First download sqlite-3_x_x.zip and sqlitedll-3_x_x.zip from http://www.sqlite.org/download.html. Either extract the files into

or set your PATH environment variable to
set PATH=C:\path\to\sqlite;%PATH%
Now, if you try to install sqlite3-ruby on Windows XP with
C:\&#62;gem install sqlite3-ruby
